Centre Members Win Five Medals at Swiss National Championships

The Swiss national target archery championships was held at the Arc Club Jussy on 21 August 2022 – and members of the World Archery Excellence Centre climbed the podium five times! Olivia Doigo won the title of national champion in the recurve women’s under-18 event, while David Jarisch, Alexandra Rossier and Osman Yaver also collected medals in the youth categories. Nathalie Desponds Junior added a bronze in the 50-plus competition. All five archers have been training at our facility – and have high aspirations for the future! “I’ve been doing archery at the Centre from 2021,” said new Swiss Champion Olivia. “I will continue to train to compete in the Olympic Games in the future!”

Alexandra, who was runner-up in the under-13 age group, started archery here at a young age. “I learned that controlling mentality is very important in competitions. It would be good for me to take the Centre’s mental training sessions so that I can keep calm and stable no matter what score I shoot,” she said.

Kids archery programme registration is available all year round at the World Archery Excellence Centre. Young archers in the programmes train with professional coaches in the centre every Wednesdays and Saturdays.
