French coach Howard Catherine joined the full-time coaching staff at the World Archery Excellence Centre in January 2023.
He will be lead on the resident athlete academy and teaching programmes – Discover Archery, Start Archery and Improve Archery – that take participants on a journey from their beginnings in the sport to autonomy as a practising recreational archer.
Howard has been coaching archery for more than 20 years. He is a level 2 accredited coach in France, where he taught talented athletes like world youth team champion Victoria Sebastian.
“I hope to help many archers at the centre reach their full potential,” said Howard. “My focus will be on improving the structure of the Centre’s programmes and creating an environment in which athletes can thrive.”
